Quick Response Teams

Quick Response Teams (QRTs) — interdisciplinary community programs that reach people within 48 to 72 hours of a non-fatal overdose, the window when they are most receptive to help. Covers who makes up a team, QRT goals and activities, the outcomes reported so far, and the program's history since its 2014 start. Includes practical steps: how to find a local QRT, build the relationship, agree referral guidelines, and lean on the team when someone has a return to use.

Project Management: Project Closing

This course focuses on closing out your project. We will review documenting and handling the last steps before you have completed the implementation of a Rural Recovery Housing Project. This includes the basic elements critical but often forgotten when implementing a Rural Recovery Housing Project. We also cover how to gain acceptance to support the transition, the completion of reporting, and final budgetary information requirements, any storage or final documentation, as well as giving appreciation to the team at the time of release.

Not as Complicated as You May Think: SUD 101

An accessible and relatable look at substance use disorder (SUD), how it affects individuals, families, and communities, and the challenges people may experience on the path to recovery. Through lived experience, personal stories, and real-world examples, learners will explore how SUD can impact mental, physical, and social well-being while gaining a better understanding of the misconceptions and stigma that can create additional barriers to recovery. The course emphasizes the value of education, empathy, and informed, compassionate approaches to supporting individuals with SUD and recovery.

An Introduction to Recovery Housing

These courses outline the best practices for recovery housing designed by the National Alliance for Recovery Residences and the Fletcher Group. We look at the NARR levels and Recovery Kentucky's peer-led, peer-driven social model of recovery. Recovery Kentucky - A Peer-Led, Peer-Driven, Empowerment Social Model of Recovery: This course covers the Recovery Kentucky model of recovery, a peer-led, peer-driven social model. Developed in the early 2000's and consisting of 17 facilities across the state of Kentucky, Recovery Kentucky has evidence-based outcomes showing the positive impact of recovery housing for the individual and the community. An Introduction to the NARR Levels of Recovery Housing: This course will educate and prepare professionals and recovery housing operators to properly identify the various levels of recovery housing and act on this information to better assist those seeking recovery housing, particularly in rural areas. The course will also help prospective recovery housing operators determine the types of recovery housing they wish to develop.

This training focuses on understanding what logs are required to manage your project after kickoff successfully. Project Logs are key artifacts that help you track decisions, changes, actions, risks, issues, lessons learned, and communications. Note: These items are key to managing the implementation of a Rural Recovery Housing Project. Specifically, the timing, content, and value, as well as the purpose of each of the items listed.
